Ugh. Pollen. Am I Right?
I noticed that I am beginning to see a big jump in the number of kids coming into my office with seasonal allergies. Seasonal allergies can range from a slight nuisance to completely miserable. Allergies can cause a runny, itchy nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Since allergies tend to have a genetic component, be on alert for symptoms in children if either parent suffers from allergies.
🤧 Interesting fact: “If one parent has allergies, there’s a 25% chance that a child will also be allergic. The risk is more than doubled to 60% to 70% if both parents have allergies.” -AAP
