Teaching Body Parts

My infant has recently turned one-year-old. A few days ago, I was sitting with my girls over breakfast and informed my 5 year-old that we needed to start teaching our baby her body parts. I had in my mind that we would start with her nose or mouth. Before I could say a word, my 5 year-old stands up on her chair, points between her legs, and screams, “vagina!”

I nearly died of laughter. So while the rest of you may want to start with “nose” or “mouth,” apparently the Wonnacotts are starting with “vagina!” My husband doesn’t approve.
